Faculty of Mathematics and Science

The Faculty of Mathematics and Science aims to become the leading educational facility for skill-based acquisition of technology in Cambodia. Through a range of courses, students will gain hand-on experience with computer hardware and software. Areas of instruction include programming, methods of data utilization and application, system analysis, and network maintenance. The Faculty of Mathematics and Science prepares graduates to enter the age of the information superhighway.

Capacity building, so as to utilize up-to-date processes and products, is a key factor for Cambodia to become competitive in modern applications of technology. Therefore, the faculty specializes in computer science, information technology, data applications, network connectivity and the numerical basis of computer literacy.  Each major covers computer skills in extensive laboratory sessions; relevant algebra, mathematics and English are taught as the foundation to more specialized subjects in programming and engineering.

The management of information systems for effective communication also includes understanding the broader nature of organizational behavior, particularly public and private sectoral response to change and reform. In many ways, information technologists provide the mechanisms for implementing organizational change and development.

For graduates of this faculty, the demand for their expertise in Cambodia will be highly sought. An education in this rapidly developing field will provide IIC graduates with the opportunity to play a central role in Cambodian growth, linking commerce, industry and government regionally and internationally.
